2012 and beyond?

There is much discussion in both the scientific and spiritual communities about the possibilities for mankind on the winter solstice 2012 (December 21, 2012). Science tells us that the planets will be aligned in a way that won't happen again for 26,000 years. Psuedoscientists (and some mainstream scientists) tell us that Planet-X is headed our way and will pass near us between the end of 2012 and early 2013. Science also tells us that the earth is going through many physical changes. Our magnetic field is changing. According to scientists the magnetic field has reduced more than by 38%. Science also tells us that, in the past, the earth has experienced an ice age at intervals of approximately 11,000 years. Our last ice age was 11,500 years, so we are overdue. Let me state here, that this article is not about politics; it is about Life and the Future of Mankind. I am not making any judgments. I am simply stating facts as I know them.

I applaud Al Gore's efforts to cleanup the environment and stop global warming. But, some scientists and meteorologists claim that mankind is not causing the global warming; it is the cycle of nature. What is the real reason our ice caps are melting? I am not a scientist but mainstream newspapers such as the new York Times and Wall Street Journal have published scientific articles stating it is the earth's cycles.. and before an ice age begins.. polar ice-caps begin to melt. There have been countless mainstream articles claiming that we are headed towards a new ice age and the ultimate changes in the earth's magnetic field precipitate major earth and climatic changes. Some claim we are headed for a Polar Reversal. I researched on-line the dynamics of Ice Ages and discovered that Ice Ages come and go.. and when they 'go' it is replaced by a warming period.. which then triggers the dynamics (with warming) that actually 'cause' an ice age. So, are we headed there? And, if so, how bad can it be? So, our climate will be colder.. is that all there is?

Science has found remains of Mastodon's (which roamed freely in North America up to 11,000 years ago) when they became extinct. Remains have been found of mastodon's that were in mid-stride with undigested food in their stomachs. They were frozen. Some believe some massive climate change must have occurred. Science does not know what?

A simple search of the internet will show us countless articles claiming possible disasters mankind may be facing in the next several years. But, in the same note, the so-called 'end' had been predicted for the year 2001, 2001, 2005 and probably many other dates in between. But, what can we 'REALLY' expect?

This article will be continued but let me leave you with this thought. What happened to the Mayan population? They possessed knowledge beyond our current level. Some of their discoveries we still don't understand. So, what happened to them? Do a search on the internet and you will find that their descendants claim they walked into the forest and disappeared. Is that true or did climate changes, earthquakes, poor nutrition or some other unknowns abolish their civilization? Where did they go? The truth is, we don't know. Some say they were able to mathematically predict a major earth change in 9752. They also predicted a similar major earth change to occur on December 21, 2012. It was so significant that their Mayan Calendar ends on that date. What were they trying to tell us? (more to follow) - Part 2: Beyond December 21, 2012!
